The new USB Multihead System is a modular system for up to 8 CCD, CMOS, NMOS or InGaAs sensor heads.
The clock for all sensor heads is generated by the USB - Multihead Controller, so all sensor heads are 100% synchronized.
The Multihead controller provides an external trigger input to synchronize the exposure cycle of all sensor heads to the experiment.
The new USB 2.0 Multihead System provides up to 1 Klps continuous transfer rate. The pixel data array can be stamped with an 8 bit framecounter.
The sensor heads can be cooled by an optional low noise dual peltier cooler with automatic detection of the connected head.
